1865 Nickel 3-Cent Piece ~~ Grades VF/30+

WOW! I bought this coin for one of my grandsons, who has expressed an interest in collecting. I typically only buy slabbed coins so I know what I'm getting. This coin was not certified so I was buying on trust. I'm glad I did because this coin exceeded my expectations and was fairly priced. The dealer's estimation of grade, in my opinion, was conservative. I will buy from this dealer again in the future.BTW, I don't know the dealer. This was my first buy from this outfit but it won't be my last.

Absolutely love the coin. Definition is great, clear and worth every dollar spent. Thank you for the great coin..History....... 1865. Wonder who's hand it passed through

Reading other reviews I feel someone should point this out. Amazon does not offer unique pictures for each item sold like a site that only sells coins would, it is not designed for that. you will not get the coin pictured and it may be a different quality, different year etc. Personally I was very happy and if I wasn't I would ask for an exchange or go to a place where I can buy the exact coin I want. Again, VERY happy with what I got, don't listen to these reviews that are unhappy, they don't know what they are talking about.

This coin was in much worse shape than the picture. Unfortunately, my son did not want it for his collection. I had to return it.

I did receive the right coin but I don't believe it's the exact same as pictured. Coin is more aged and much darker in person. But, I am a new collector. And, I am still very happy with my purchase and would more than likely order from this vendor again.

Without the cost prohibitive expense of purchasing a time machine from the dodgy and dubious Heartland America catalog. Or Heartburn America as it were, but that’s the great thing about amazon if you do get heartburn they probably sell something for that here…

The coin I got was not the coin in the picture or described, yes light scratch on the face but very dirty and some oxidation.

I’ll add this shipper to my primary list. Coin was very legible, a grade above his promise, arrived on time, well packaged. I wish I would have ordered more, but I will. I’ll maybe take a photo and post.
