Very thick MDF, no rattles and sealed very well. Cut out was perfect for my 12” Kicker Comp R subwoofer. Good quality carpet that matched my interior well and overall very good value for the money. My only complaint is that you need to supply your own female spade connectors to connect the sub to the terminal cup, but aside from that I had zero issues with the box and it works great.

When the enclosure showed up I was very pleasantly surprised with the the carpeting and overall build quality. The terminals aren't the best, but work just fine for my application and would have been a breeze to swap out for something nicer if desired. What you see in the picture is what you get, nothing more and nothing less.After reading some of the comments about air leaks, I went out and bought a tube of silicone and ran a healthy bead around every seam in the box, including around the terminal port and let it dry for 36 hours before installing the sub. No issues at all so far, and was certainly an easy fix for some peace-of-mind. Sounds great with my Type-R Alpine, matches the "optimal sealed" rating almost perfectly for my 1243D. Also has a little metal plaque on the front in the bottom right that says "BBOX - Atrend". It looks nice and gives the box a great look, I love it!

Ordered this from amazon in the beginning of January & was told that it would be delivered anywhere between 2-1-11 to 3-1-11. Turns out they got a hold of one a lot quicker and it was delivered 1 week after it was ordered. Received the item in 2 boxes, as others have listed, and I did not run into any problems with the carpeting on the box wearing away, it looked new, like it should. Installed my sub in it & put it in the car. Sounds great! I can't compare it to another box because I had a box for 2 12's before but was looking to just have one for a more balanced & clean sound instead of overwhelming bass. The box sounds very nice, can't really find any leaks or problems with build quality. Solid box, great performance, great deal overall.

Purchased this box to be used as a spare for long road trips. The daily box is ~3 ft^3. We figure it would be great to have a smaller box we can swap out.Pro :Very great box for the price. The internal joints are siliconed sealed. Box includes a generic colored carpet. Small and will get the job done for a small system.Con :Diameter Cutout is too large. The cutout measured to be 11.25". This is pretty big. I noticed another member used this box with an Alpine Type R and did not complain about the cutout size. I noticed my TC subs tend to have a larger cutout but 11.25 is simply too much. It is easily .25 too much.

Well made and the price I paid was absolutely peanuts for a 12" sub box! It's a standard sub box, well put together, at a great price. No fancy extra features that I don't need.

I didn't have high expectations, especially going from a vented to a non vented box but this sounds great. My trunk is VERY shallow (2003 Mustang) and this fits very nicely. I don't even to worry about attaching it as it doesn't slide around like my previous one. Installation was also super easy, just make sure you have a drill as it didn't come pre-drilled.

Had an old truck wedge box that got some moisture damage, sub was working but all bass was gone. I decided not to be super cheap, and get a normal size box this time. It's well put together, all seams are glued, carpet is well laid. Swapped the terminal cup for a screw type, I hate springs. Used polyfil batting and spray adhesive to line the inside and dumped the remaining fill loose inside, installed my old Polk db12 and mounted my amp to the back. This sounds much better than I ever achieved with the truck wedge and no dampening material. No rattles, no air escaping, just good clean sound.

I've had the box for a week now as of 8/12/24. I THOUGHT that I was buying a box that was made up of ENTIRELY 3/4" MDF. What was delivered has a 3/4" face and 5/8" everywhere else. I've made my own boxes before and the woofer I have was in a 3/4" MDF box that doesn't fit well in the trunk of my other car.It plays fine for a box this size. The bass response is tight and plays low. The hole for the subwoofer was 11" dia. I don't know if they all come like that, but I think someone would want to know that, because I had to make the hole bigger to make it work. Even though I don't hate the sound of the box, I'm still a liitle pissed that it wasn't completely 3/4" MDF. I'm over here wondering how it would sound if it was.
