After back surgery, I needed help getting up from chairs (weaker leg strength), I I didn't want to get one of the big bulky chairs. So I set this up on a Livingroom chair. It was very helpful! Putting it together can be a bit confusing, but once done, it worked well for me. A great alternative, and way less expensive.

For some reason, I hate to give this a bad review, but here we are. It looks reasonably well-made, but IMHO is overpriced. But much more importantly, it just didn't work. Even when set on the 200 lb setting for a 140 lb person, it really didn't "lift" at all; it just seemed to "follow her up." In other words, yes, it rose, but gave only the appearance of lifting; it didn't actually help my mother. I tried it and, again, the sensation was that it followed me up as I rose, but it didn't actually help any. We sent it back.

We are happy with it. It works well but it is a little heavy for elderly to take somewhere on their own. We have to carry it for my 89 years old dad.

Works great but too much lift for a less heavy (lighter) person.

Help me sit down at a comfortable pace

Terrible product. Bulky, heavy, sharp edges inside where you set weight, and uncomfortable!!! I didnt keep it for longer than a minute ... 😬

A handicapped assistance for my husband who uses it to help himself stand up. Easy to use in restaurants, doctors offices, etc. Makes him feel independent.

Product was stained with oil and did not work efficiently. Waste of my money!
