Shoreline Marine Seat Mount Plated

Bought 2 for my boat. One holds a small bait/tool box by my front boat seat. The other was a boat seat on the back deck of my boat; it did not hold up. These have only 2 small tac welds that hold the plate to the spring beneath. As the spring shifts with a person fishing in the seat the welds eventually break from the twisting. They have not been used extensively. Will not buy these again. Will search for a sturdier stronger seat mount platform for safety's sake. My son was almost thrown out of the boat when it broke.

The weld job was crap but not a problem. I welded them up to my liking before installing and they are good to go. If you don’t plan on rewelding them do NOT buy.

As the sticker reads, do not sit in seat over 5 mph, I have seen better welds from a dirt dobber than that !!! I will have to reweld this for SURE 🙄🕵️ POOR WORKMANSHIP 🙄 I would not recommend these unless you can get them welded.....

Buy if you need the standard mounting bracket for a seat.2. DON'T BUY if you are looking for stainless steel, then again it's be more expensive.

This product is cheaply made and doesn’t fit in base. After forcing into base plate which cracked housing they are not coming out for the duration. Can’t even return. Opt for a better plate before purchasing this item!

This product is weak. Welds failed after about 10 trips out on boat. Chair became unstable and finally fell off when welds failed.

For me it would have worked better if the shaft had been 1/2 inch longer so I could drill for a keeper pin. I had to add to it so I could pin it, just made it better for my application.

my first impression was good but after having these in my boat for 3 months they both have popped the welds where the post and spring are wellded to the base. im am not a huge guy either i way 200#. they did bolt up nice as i said in my first reveiw but they do not hold up nice very poor product. i think i can weld them to fix them better than before though.

Works well with matching base but I removed spring because it made the seat too high
