Colour Name:Vintage White 3-ply 8-hole Scratchplate to fit most USA, Mexican Telecasters and Squier model TelecastersIn 1969, Fender changed the design of their scratchplates. Moving away from 5 fixing screw holes to 8. They'd come to realise that the original 5 holes weren't enough to keep the plate from lifiting away from the body in certain areas.Mounting holes for the neck pickup were also introduced, thus making pickup height adjustment much easier (previously the scratchplate would need to be removed to do this)We've modelled our 8 hole scratchplates on this more modenr design, but with a wider variety of colours and a choice of single or 3-ply.All our scratchplates are fully shielded on the reverse, to help reduce hum.Specification3 ply scratchplates: 2.4mm thick1 ply scratchplates: 2.0mm thick
