We ordered three controllers for our irrigation system. The installation was easy and getting it connected to the home WiFi was quick and painless. Our units are about 30’ from the indoor router and didn’t have any connectivity issues.The user interface in the app is not the most intuitive but after you play around with it a bit you start to see that there are just a lot of different ways you can schedule your watering; daily, certain days per week, certain odd/even days etc. again, not intuitive but once you set you can forget.The app will tell you when watering starts and ends (if you turn on notifications) and with the flow meter you also know how many gallons get used per cycle. This helps to know the volumes your putting on but also give you insight that you do t have leaks.We did have a few rainy days after setting up and it did a great job of reading precipitation reports and skipping a water cycle based on rainfall projections. That was a great feature to see work correctly. Was very impressed.We did have issues with one of our units. The batteries would die after about 3 days. We reached out to the company and they responded the very next day with a solution. In my case, they thought it was the flow meter that was draining the batteries and suggested replacing the flow meter. This required ordering a new unit which they would issue a credit for the cost. We did and it amazon gift card came as they said.It turned out that it wasn’t the flow meter but the unit was actually a dud. Since we ordered a whole new unit anyway (and got the credit) we had a replacement unit ready to go. The replacement was just fine.So right now we have three units all running fantastically doing their thing. I couldn’t be happier with the connectivity, the support, the operation, etc. the only issue really is the user interface in the app. But overall it’s working. And our plants are happy.

I have been using LinkTap for a year now and LOVE it. I had a non-connected Orbit for a few years but was looking for exactly the feature set of LinkTap. I needed the Rain Skip option so that I don't need to turn the timer on and off myself every time I feel like an idiot when the water is running and there's rain outside... and I wanted to be able to click a button and have it water the plants when it's a super hot and sunny day.LinkTap works perfectly!I now needed another valve, so I went and bought G2 and at first glance, the extra feature set is very useful. I love the water flow alerts. I never knew if my flow was too much or too little and now I know :). They have all kinds of alerts to monitor faults, which is great.The app is very easy to use and I did not encounter any bugs in the year that I have been using it. I love the integration with Alexa so that if I want to do some extra watering, all I do is ask Alexa to water the plants.Wireless range is very good. Singal strength is high at quite a long distance between the hub and the end valves.Last but not least, I needed to ask some questions about using the LinkTap and their customer support amazed me. I got a response in less than five minutes and their Support was detailed and very professional.All in all - I am now a fan of the company and their products.

I purchased the gateway and a total of 3 flow control devices for a drip irrigation system for my shrubbery and house plants on my patio at my vacation home.They are a bit costly and worth every penny. In this market you get exactly what you pay for. The devices and the app/website are well engineered and are easy to set up. They also have excellent internal watering cycle choices and flow monitoring including both adjustable high and low flow warnings. They even have a drop sensor to indicate if they have been disconnected from the faucet for any reason.Several months after purchasing, I noticed a precipitous battery drainage on one of the devices and contacted customer support. The promptly responded and showed me how to see the device health monitoring data and we were able to identify an error in my router as it was beginning to fail and determined that one of the device flow sensors was malfunctioning which led to a temporary fix by disconnecting the sensor and promptly sent a replacement device.

We bought two of these for our yard and the connection was easy. Nothing leaks. I bought some extra flexible hose pieces to make sure there is no stress on the hose connectors. Also since the device does not allow to just turn on water at the timer I setup a Y connector so that I can swap the hose. The setup of the gateway and timer was easy and worked right away. We created interval timers and it did what you would expect it to do. The fact that it considers the forecast is great and was right most days.I remove half a star for the app since it is not always delivering my changes in the first try. That causes some error messages to pop up. But when you submit the changes a second time everything goes through.The second half is removed for the fact that there is no option to override the schedule directly at the timer and that it will deactivate your schedule when you enable another schedule. For example we used interval timer on a daily basis. But then we wanted some extra water to water the plants. So I had to activate the Instant Mode. But this disabled my Interval Mode and I had to reactivate it after I was done.Anyways I would buy it again and it overall the best solution I have seen so far.**Update**My review should have been in the section for the version with the gateway. However we were able to pair the second link easily and without problems. The concerns with the app are valid also with this device.
