Superb Quality at a Reasonable Price... Highly Recommended!
The media could not be loaded. I have to admit, I was a little sceptical at first, when I saw the price of this visualiser/document camera, compared to others, that were five times the price! However, I was pleasantly surprised. The packaging is a little flimsy, but more than adequate to protect the camera.Various people have commented about it not having instructions... as you'll see from the video, instructions were included in the box.Although built from plastic, the arm is sturdy, rigid, easy to position, and stays put. There's a small screwdriver, included in the base, to tighten/loosen the joints if required, although this wasn't necessary for me. The base is sufficiently weighted, to prevent it from toppling over, unless you significantly extend the reach of the camera arm.The video is very high quality and the camera auto adjusts based on the lighting conditions. The light doesn't seem very bright, but when tested in a completely dark room, it still performed very well (on full brightness). The autofocus is based on the position of the camera when activated, so needs refocusing (with the press of a button) if the height of the camera is adjusted. In some ways, this is an advantage, as it can be distracting when a camera is constantly refocusing each time you move your hands. The other buttons flip/mirror the video either horizontally or vertically, as required, and adjust the video brightness. The brightness of the lamp can be set on one of three levels, or turned off, by touching the ring light. It worked straight out of the box, without needing to instal any additional software or drivers. I used the 'Camera' app on Windows 11 to record the video. It folds up very compactly and is ideal if you need to present in different locations.I've not measured the size of the shooting area, but the camera wasn't fully extended in the video and the green mat is slightly bigger than A4. So, it's likely close to A3 in size. Greater areas can be achieved, by raising the camera on a box or shelf. In summary, it’s easy to set up, portable and performs very well, especially at this price point. Highly recommended.

Great camera/visualiser at a very reasonable price
I have been very impressed with this document camera which I use as a visualiser when teaching my niece over Zoom. I like the fact that it is a fixed focus but that this can be altered if the camera is moved. I just press the refocus button on top and it comes into sharp focus again. I can use the camera from either side of me since it has the options to flip the image it shows both by flipping vertically and horizontally. It shows both text and my written solutions clearly and can show diagrams that I then annotate to help with my explanations. I wondered about buying something that was twice the price but I am so glad I didn't as this does everything I need very well at a very reasonable price. I noted from other reviews comments about the packaging - the insert is a bit flimsy but this doesn't matter as the box itself is robust - and they are only for storage anyway. The camera itself feels sturdy and stays in whichever position I choose without drifting downwards. I can't comment on how well this would stand up to constant use all day but for my needs it is perfect. I am very pleased with it and don't hesitate to recommend it.

Really pleased
I started to supply teach and quickly felt lost without a visualiser, the reviews for this product weren’t wrong. In my subject it’s important that students can draw diagrams of processes and learn how to sketch products in 3D.The arm folds away easily and fits into the side pocket on my school bag, that fits a standard sized whatever bottle, which makes it really fast and easy to pack away and take home. This folding action also works well during lessons when the camera is not in use, because I can fold the camera to one side and leave it plugged in.The joins on the arm are really durable, move freely but are also tight enough to hold the position well.I predominantly use the camera to project live sketching skills to students, or to draw diagrams for students to follow, so I have to set the position quite high. The join on the base of the camera and the elbow of the stand don’t swivel they only open and close, this means that camera is often above the page blocking my view of the page as I am trying to project but I’m getting used to the position the more I use the camera. The plastic base is also light, compared to the metal arms, so the camera topples unless there is a weight (like a heavy textbook) or clamp (again, when I set it high up) to hold it in place. I’ve been used a small g-clamp to set the position and to stop me knocking it over (I can be pretty clumsy.)The camera itself shows a really clear image, well defined image (once autofocus is pressed), the ‘lighten’ button helps in darker classrooms and the buttons on the camera that flip horizontal and vertical views are handy.I had to restart my laptop for the device to be recognised but the standard Windows software found it afterwards. I use Chrome at work and the camera app worked immediately. This visualiser was a third of the price of those purchases by my last school, it’s got a better stand, has a higher definition camera and really is an absolute bargain. I’ve 3D printed a cover to protect the lens when folded and was so pleased that I have been showing it off to my colleagues since I bought. Really pleased with this purchase.
