OMG! This thing is fast!!
First thing, setup was easy, came with raid controller, cable to connect controller to rack mount unit (cable only 3 to 4 ft long), and rackmount drive bay unit. Mounted easily into my rack. Drives were a little tight when adding them in but got them all locked in the system. Created 2 Raid 60 drives within the unit, partitioned and formatted and when I went to copy an 80gb file, it took roughly a minute and was getting around 700 to 800 MB/s.

Good option for a single PS 8x 2.5" drive array
Works as it should. Would like a 2nd power supply option, but can't complain. Other than it being a bit expensive per drive slot.

Solid option for external SSD RAID expansion with the right controller.
A decent case. Used it to expand storage in an aging dell server. Filled it with 4 SSD drives and configured raid 10. had to by a cable separately because the cable in the box did not match.Instructions also mention a redundant power supply option, could not find that anywhere.I emailed the seller trying to get some info never got a response. For those 2 reasons I took off a star

Works as advertised, and is the shortest depth SAS3 enclosure I could find.Be warned: The rack mount holes are a bit wide with no fudge factor. This prevents me from screwing it in on both sides. A power drill will fix it, but this is already an expensive enclosure compared to others.
