Very good. The spices were just right. The casing were easy to fill. Very pleased with this product.

This was the first time we made snack sticks. We used 2lbs. of chopped sirloin. We went by the directions for the snack sticks according to the amount of meat. We purchased Sweet and spicy. They were neither. Tasted like ground meat with barely a spice. The casings that come with the kit are big. They're not snack sticks in my opinion. They're more like a long skinny hotdog.

I don't know, I guess I am newer to the snack stick'n, but it didn't call for pork, and I think if you do this you should use a third pork to keep it from getting dried out. In addition, use additional seasoning, this is a very bland product- I used more than recipe called, and it still comes out very bland. Don't worry about over seasoning, you need some taste with this kit--- mustard seeds, garlic powder, black pepper or even some high temp cheese for a change up. Overall, it's a good starter kit, the casing is much wider than I prefer, but this got me started, and I know what to look for later.-agiain, use pork-add extra seasoning and personal seasonings too- TRUST me, i followed directions and added a little extra for good measure--- and it was smoked- and still very boring
