NOSE BUTTER was developed specifically for this condition. NOSE BUTTER For Dry or Crusty Dog Noses. All natural, rich moisturizers soften and smooth your dog's dry, crusty, cracked nose. NOSE BUTTER is individually handcrafted in far northern Minnesota (yes, it is science fiction cold in the winter) using all natural and organic good stuff: shea butter, olive oil, castor oil, avocado oil, almond oil, coconut oil, beeswax, cocoa seed butter, a dash of essential oils and love. NOSE BUTTER USAGE: DAB a bit onto your dog's nose 1-3x a day for 2-3 days (until nose improves) and then as needed for maintenance (usually1-2x a week). Can't believe my eyes!
Holy spaceballs this stuff is absolutely amazing!!! My poor pittie has reccuring skin cancer on her belly and started getting this strange growth on her nose last year after she had her first operation. The vet never seemed concerned with it so I figured it was just a side effect of the cancer and didn't think there was anything that could be done about it. Boy, was I wrong! Thanks to one of those silly sponsored ads for "30 great Amazon products you never knew you needed" on a popular social media website, I found my way to a competing brand for this product. After comparing the options, I felt that The Blissful Dog nose butter was the best value. Added bonus that it comes in a tube, which makes for much easier application. My product arrived late Friday afternoon after riding around southern California's desert in the back of a UPS truck all day. It came in a cute little box with the company's logo printed on it. It was packaged very carefully inside of it's own small sealed baggie and wrapped in bubble wrap. It was sealed with a sticker saying something like "please put me in the fridge for 15 minutes before opening." I was hesitant to open it up when I saw that, especially because the tube felt quite warm to the touch and I didn't want a big melted mess on my hands before I even got to try the product out. I ignored the warning and opened it up right away lol but was pleasantly surprised to find the product perfectly fine. It was just the right temperature to apply directly to my dog without having to rub it on my palm first to get it to melt into her poor, hard, crusty nose.I applied it once Friday evening, and then twice on Saturday. My pittie was very patient and sat there while I rubbed it in to make sure it was evenly spread. She would give a quick lick when I finished, but the product is thick enough that it stayed in place. Went to apply a fourth treatment to her nose Sunday morning when I woke up, only to find her nose completely cleared up!!! I was so happy for her that I seriously wanted to cry. My pittie has been through so much this past year and a half, and it was killing me to see her nose in that condition every day and think there was nothing I could do about it. 3 simple applications and a mere 36 hours later and her nose is back to new again.Bottom line - this product absolutely does exactly what it says it will, and to me, it's worth it's weight in gold! Don't hesitate, buy it, your dogs are worth it!

Not nearly as good as Aquaphor
I wanted to love this stuff. Our cocker looks just like the black one on the package and other family members have cockers that look like the other two. Anyway, while it does have some effect, the consistency of it is all wrong. It feels like Crisco. It is annoying to apply and my dog is able to lick it off. After I ran out, I put some Aquaphor on his nose because I had it on hand, and I was amazed. His nose looked 10 times better with one treatment. It pretty much looked completely healed by the next morning. He has nerve damage on his right side and his nose previously looked like a prehistoric rock on the right side. I think the difference is that the Aquaphor is less viscous. It applies quickly and easily and soaks right in even as he tries to lick it off. I cannot recommend enough to simply try Aquaphor before you try this product.

Greatest Thing Since Sliced Bread
I have tried numerous things to treat my pugs Collie Nose. Her poor little nose had a large hard crusty shelf like layer at the top of it and it looked so painful. Since I've tried everything under the sun I was extremely skeptical of ordering this product but literally after only ONE application I saw a huge difference and after the 3rd application I couldn't even tell that she ever had Collie Nose. My dog usually licks things off her nose right when I put them on but nope not this stuff because it's instantly absorbed. Easy Peasy!! I also think that it would work well on my dogs paws too when they get dry. This is a soft solid so you have to kind of press down through the semi hard top layer and scoop out a tiny bit. It's greasy but it's instantly absorbed so there's no mess, not even on your fingers. I can tell it could be a spill-able oily mess real quick so be sure to keep this in a cool place out of the direct sunlight because it will melt fast. If it does I'm sure that you can just pop it in the freezer for a bit. This comes in a small tin and I thought I'd be out in no time but it actually goes a long way and works so well that it'll last forever! This is an amazing product and I am so very thankful that my groomer recommended it!***Ohhhh and I did notice when searching for this product that there are many different dog breeds pictures on the tins. Different breed pictures cost different prices. It's all the same folks so it you're not picky on whose pictures on your tin I'd go with the cheapest one as long as it's made by the same company and it's the same product.

It truly works!
Our vet told us our pug would need surgery in order to get rid of the crust that was growing on her nose. Never owning a pug before I believed him and began saving up for the expensive surgery. After doing a little research I stumbled upon stories about pugs and dry noses. More research led to nose butter and the various brands. I took a chance and purchased this one. In only 1 month this was the before and after! My pugs nose is completely healed WITHOUT surgery! I also sent this my vet to show that surgery was not needed. My poor dog was suffering while I was trying to save for this expensive unnecessary surgery that my vet told me was needed all while I just could have purchased this inexpensive product and had her nose healed in a month. Give it a try I promise it works! I swear by it! We are even trying the paw butter!

Not hydrating or moisturizing enough to make any difference to my Pekingese
While I love the way this nose butter is packaged, I find that the butter is too thick to really make much difference in my Peke’s nose. He has a very dry nose that can flake so I was hoping this would help turn things around but his nose has made no improvement. I think a texture of something like a Nivea cream would be better (not suggesting Nivea, just referring to its texture) would hydrate the nose more. Using something that is so thick and occlusive isn’t actually adding moisture to the nose. Also, by the time this butter is absorbed, my Peke licks it off. If it was a little less thick, it would instantly be absorbed before the dog can lick at it. I have things at home to make organic and clean creams, lotions, etc so I think I’ll just look up what is/isn’t safe for my fur-boy and make something myself. For these reasons I do not recommend this nose butter for very dry noses.

A truly fantastic product
I was noticing a little bit of dryness and scaly skin around the border of my Aussie's nose, so I went in search of a nose balm and found this. I am so glad I did. While I have to be honest that some patience is required, it's not because of the product, but the dog. It's a challenge to apply without your dog immediately licking it off after. I followed the company's advice of giving my dog something to chew on after so it has time to absorb, but since I didn't want to be feeding big treats constantly, I alternated between giving a long-lasting treat and massaging in the nose butter for a few seconds so it had a chance to absorb. I wasn't consistent with using this every day, so it took a few weeks, but my dog's nose is looking a million times better now, no dryness or flaky skin at all. This stuff will last forever, so I plan to keep using it once or twice a week going forward (as needed) so that the dryness doesn't have a chance to creep up again. If you're experiencing dry, scaly skin on your dog's nose, definitely give this a shot.
