Archoil AR6900-P Max Advanced Petrol Synthesis - 100ml

I purchased this as it has polyetheramine known as PEA as a constituent chemical and it is widely regarded as the best additive to clean direct injection petrol systems.I bought a Mitsubishi Shogun(Pajero) as an offroad weekend car and it has a 3.5 litre V6 direct injection engine. It had no service history.These engines have a bit of a flaw in their design in that the intake valves are not washed by fuel as it passes into the combustion chamber so I am resigned to the fact I will have to remove the intake manifold and walnut blast the intakes. The valves and intake will eventually get covered in carbon from the crankcase ventilation oil mixing with exhaust gas from the EGR valve and this means carbon crud.I won't however be able to remove and clean the injectors like a normal-upstream injector setup. They are directly aimed into the combustion chamber and as such use very high pressure and they're really expensive.Therefore I have bought some of this additive to run in the Mitsi for a couple of months and see if it improves the spray pattern which should be evident by the state of the spark plugs amd the general running of the engine.I will keep my review up to date as I get a chance to run this stuff through and note the results so stay tuned.

Good product to maintain the fuel system and the exhaust at its best. I find quite annoying the bottle because since it doesn't have a long neck, everytime it is necessary to use the supplementary cap that allows the product to properly go into the tank: it makes me lose a lot of time at the pump because after having put the conditioner in, I need to clean the supplementary cap because it remains wet of the product that is corrosive and dangerous when inhaled. Much better the redex bottle with the long neck and the measures on the bottle

I have purchased the diesel version for my car as its done wonders (so far) for it. So thought I would try the petrol version as one of the cars gives a very intermittent misfire on one of the cylinders. after 2 tanks nothing ...its looking good . I had already tried new spark plugs / in-line HT coils ( don't ask how much its not nice) but still this misfire. So far Its looking like all I needed was this fuel additive ? ( I had already redex and another injector cleaner , nothing ) . so far im happy and so far no misfire ..its good :-)

I have been using this for two months and so far have seen my car's average (combined) fuel consumption holding steady over mixed driving scenarios. However, the fact that it hasn't deteriorated may be because of driving in warmer weather and other factors so I need to re-assess the benefits (or otherwise) of Archoil over 12 months to reach a conclusion.

Like other Archoil products I've used it seems to work within minutes. The engine is more silky in my Honda. The bottle is big, there's loads of this stuff. Great value and it actually seems to be helping right from the 1st drive with it in.

I've been a long-time user of PEA containing product since I discovered Techron, but that's no longer available off the shelf for sensible money. Then I found this, and I'm quite happy with it.
