Excellent tea!
Finally! After the busy holiday, I had some time to sit, relax and try my new tea!The first time I tried Tieguanyin tea was funny.I had ordered an item from China via ebay and upon receiving it, I realized the seller had included a free sample of Tieguanyin (also called Iron Goddess) tea. My purchase was tea related but the seller didn't sell tea, so I thought it was a lovely gesture. Not trying to sell me anything, just a nice "tea lover to tea lover" gift.It was in chinese, so I had no idea what kind it was or how to brew. Contacted the seller, she gave me the details, and the rest is history. The steep was earthy and pale.I liked it.Wanting more, I did some research, and decided this was a good one to try.Brewed this for the first time yesterday, and WOW.The quality of this tea blew my mind. All I have to compare it to is that one free sample. Not trying to insult the sweet gift but this is my comparison. The gifted tea was like shredded tea when it unfurled. This tea was whole leaves, green and beautiful. Looking almost like it had just fallen off of the tree. The gifted steep was pale, as I mentioned before. This steep was golden. The flavor of the gifted steep paled in comparison to this tea in every way, and that is the last bad thing I will say about my gift. The flavor of this tea is hard to explain.Soft but deep... rich and floral?Almost sweet. The taste is just heavenly!I will buy again.

The taste and quality of this tea
After waiting for two weeks, the tea finally arrived. Individual packed and nicely packaged in a tin can, but the tea has no flavor, very bland. Not a bit like real Tie Guan Yin tea. The description says it is Luzhou flavor. Luzhou is a city in the province of Sichuan. Arguably the best Tie Guan Yin comes from the province of Fujian, not Sichuan. Tie Guan Yin is higher ranked tea of Oolong. So, if you like Oolong tea, then you will like Tie Guan Yin. It has richer and more intense flavor, comparing a Ford to a Cadillac. But this tea has no such 'Tie Guan Yin' whatsoever.

A Nice Oolong
A nice light Oolong with a pleasant taste, and "Gum" or Mouthfeel with a delightful lingering aftertaste. Comes in a tin of 10 packets that will provide several cups of tea, and can be steeped several times also depending on your taste. This comes at a very good price compared to other bulk tea of this quality. Each pack is double sealed, and is very fresh upon opening.

Best tie guan yin
Best tie guan yin. A lot better than what you can get from all the Asian stores. Just took me too long to receive them.
